Authenticity & warranty
Verify your solar panel before you pay
10 official manufacturer routes for every panel company in this comparison. Check each serial before panels reach the roof—not after installation.
Aiko
Online serial check
Find the product barcode on the module, enter it in AIKO's official authenticity portal, and confirm that the returned module details match the label and invoice. If a correctly entered barcode returns no result, contact AIKO before accepting the panel.
Choose the panel's destination country, enter its serial number and the verification code in Risen's Module Query, then check the returned serial status. Keep a screenshot with your invoice and warranty documents.
Enter the serial number in Trina's Module Authenticity page. Match the returned PV-module type, grade, and warranty information to the rear label and seller's invoice before installation.
Open JinkoSolar's SN Authentication tool, select the country, and enter or scan the module serial number. Confirm that the result covers Pakistan and that the model and serial match the permanent front marking, rear label, and invoice.
Enter the product barcode and on-screen verification code in JA Solar's official checker. Compare the returned grade and module information with the physical label; if the barcode is not found, use the official service contact shown by the checker.
Enter the unique module serial number and verification code in CSI Solar's Module Authenticity tool. Match the module type, power, grade, ship-to country, importer, and production details to the panel and invoice; warranty applies in the returned ship-to country.
Enter the product barcode from the front or back of the LONGi module in the official authenticity query. Confirm that the result matches the model and wattage, and also make sure the protected serial under the glass matches the rear label and paperwork.
Inverex's public site does not currently provide a panel serial lookup. Match the permanent panel serial, rear nameplate, exact model and wattage to the individual warranty card and invoice, then have Inverex confirm the serial and Pakistan warranty channel before payment or installation.
Enter the product serial number in Crown's support portal, accept the Solar & UPS terms, and run the check. Match the serial to the module label and invoice, and ask Crown support to confirm the exact panel model and warranty coverage if the result is incomplete.
Jesko does not publish a public serial-number checker. Match the module's permanent serial and rear nameplate to the carton or pallet list, datasheet, and invoice, then send the serial, model, and clear label photos to Jesko through its official site for written confirmation.
A successful serial result confirms that the number exists in the manufacturer's records; it does not by itself prove A-grade condition or rule out transport damage. Also match the exact model, wattage, grade, ship-to country or importer, invoice, warranty channel, and physical serials, and inspect every panel before installation. Quality tiers
What does "Tier 1" actually mean?
Tier-1 is a Bloomberg ranking based on bankability — banks willing to finance projects using that panel. It's a financial trust signal, not a quality grade. Here's what it actually implies.
Tier 1
Bankable manufacturers
RATES
Rs. 50-58 / W
Listed by Bloomberg as financially stable — bankable for multi-MW commercial projects. Strict QC: 3rd-party testing at every batch. 25-30 year linear performance warranties. Real warranty service in Pakistan via local dealers.
Brands
JinkoLongiJA SolarCanadian SolarTrinaRisenAE Solar
Pros
30-year linear performance warranty
Independent batch testing (TÜV, UL)
Active warranty service in Pakistan
Lower long-term degradation (LID)
Cons
Higher upfront cost (Rs. 50-58/W)
Longer lead times in peak season
Tier 2 / Local
Budget panels
RATES
Rs. 40-46 / W
Smaller manufacturers, often Pakistani assembled with imported cells. Lower QC sampling rates. 25-year linear warranty but with practical caveats — replacement supply isn't always guaranteed long-term.
Brands
InverexPak SolarSolis (PK)Sungold
Pros
15-25% cheaper per watt
Faster local warranty service
Better for small budget systems (<3 kW)
Cons
Higher 25-year degradation (84-85% retention)
Spotty long-term warranty fulfillment
Not eligible for some bank financing
Cell technology
Mono PERC, TOPCon, HPBC, or HJT?
The cell type drives long-term performance. Here's the 30-second comparison for buyers in 2026.
Mono PERC
P-type
Eff.
20-22%
25-yr
84-85%
Mature, well-understood. PERC = Passivated Emitter Rear Cell. Cheapest tier-1-compatible tech. Susceptible to LID (~2% loss in year 1). Still 70% of global market in 2026.

Inverex Zelan
Industry standard
TOPCon
N-type
Eff.
22-23%
25-yr
87-88%
Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact. Higher efficiency than PERC, lower temperature coefficient, minimal LID. The dominant new tech for 2024-2026. Almost all Tier-1 new releases are TOPCon.
Used by
Jinko Tiger Neo, JA Deep Blue, Trina Vertex S+
HPBC
P-type (rear contact)
Eff.
22.5-23%
25-yr
88-89%
Hybrid Passivated Back Contact. Longi's proprietary tech — moves all electrical contacts to the back of the cell. No front gridlines = ~3% more light absorption. All-black aesthetic.
Used by
Longi Hi-MO 6/7
HJT
Heterojunction
Eff.
23-24%
25-yr
88-90%
Heterojunction Technology. Combines crystalline silicon with thin-film amorphous silicon. Lowest temperature coefficient — best performance in hot summers. Most expensive cell tech in 2026.
Used by
Risen Hyper-ion
Buying guide
7 things to check before you buy
1
Tier 1 certification
Bloomberg Tier 1 means the manufacturer is bankable. Stick to Tier 1 for any system above 3 kW or any installation you plan to keep 10+ years.
2
Wattage vs roof size
Higher-watt panels (580W+) mean fewer panels for the same system. Critical for small rooftops (3-5 marla) where every square foot counts.
3
Temperature coefficient
Look for -0.30%/°C or better. Pakistan summers hit 50°C — every 0.01% improvement = ~1.5% more annual generation.
4
25-year performance retention
The number that actually matters for ROI. Tier-1 N-type panels retain 87%+ after 25 years. P-type often drops to 80-85%.
5
Product vs performance warranty
Product warranty = panel won't fail (12-25 years). Performance warranty = it'll keep producing (always 25-30 years linear). Both matter.
6
Local dealer presence
A 30-year warranty is worthless if the dealer disappears. Stick to brands with multi-city Pakistani dealer networks.
7
Bifacial vs monofacial
Bifacial adds 5-15% with proper mounting (ground or tilted with gap). On flat tin roofs, monofacial is fine — you won't see bifacial gains.
Panel FAQs
Solar panel questions, answered.
For most home quotes, shortlist Tier-1 N-type or TOPCon modules from Longi, Jinko, JA Solar, Canadian Solar, or Trina, then compare the exact model. In hot cities, temperature coefficient and warranty channel can matter more than a small Rs/watt difference.
